Vegas Pro 12: Project Interchange

Let’s take a look at how importing and exporting projects has changed in Sony Vegas 12. With Sony’s latest update, they introduced Project-Interchange tools allowing you to exchange projects with other popular editing platforms. A few new protocols were added to the list.

Vegas Pro 12: Match Project Settings

Sony Vegas Pro 12 has made it easier for you to match your project video properties to a video clip. When first adding a video clip to the timeline, a prompt will appear asking if you’d like to match the project video settings to the media. You can also right-click a video clip in the Project Media window and choose Match Project Video Settings from the shortcut menu.

Sony Vegas: Draw Envelope Points

To quickly adjust envelopes in Sony Vegas, you can draw envelope points freehand using the Envelope Brush. With the Normal Edit or Envelope tool active, hover over an envelope. Hold Shift to display the Envelope Brush cursor. As you drag the cursor along the track, a trail of envelope points are created. When you release the mouse button, the points will remain.
