This Wednesday January 18th the internet is going on strike to stop the web censorship bills in congress. Because of what I do, I’ll be participating in the protest against censorship. Don’t worry, the website won’t be going completely offline but be prepared to see a splash page before visiting any links. You will only see the splash page once. I will also be uploading a video that contains a single image. You can preview the splash page, and video images below.

Photoshop Error: Could Not Open Scratch File

Ever experience this error? You make some changes in the Photoshop preferences, close out and when you try opening it again, you get the error, “Could not open a scratch file because the file is locked…”

This is a very simple fix. All you need to do is open Photoshop and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift while it’s starting up. You’ll then get another window asking, “Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?” Click, “Yes”. This will in turn, delete the Photoshop settings file and will allow it to open.

Cons:

Big button gaps.
Can’t really use big fitting headphone jacks.

New YouTube Layout Template

Well YouTube’s done it again! They’ve updated their channel designs. This time, they haven’t left much design flexibility for non-partners. No more transparency, etc. Even though, I still put together a nice little template for you guys to use in Photoshop when designing your layout. This is not meant to be used as a background right off the bat but to provide help when designing them. Be sure to crop it to the length needed. Hope this helps!

The other day while working on a project, I was looking for a way to add those price options just like you see on most web hosting sites. Below, you’ll see an example of what I’m talking about. I could never for the sake of mankind find out what the heck they were called for most of the day. FINALLY, by the end of the day, I came across some sites that geared me toward what they were called! They’re “Pricing Tables”, more specifically, “CSS3 Pricing Tables”. You’re probably thinking to yourself that this is a ‘little’ off topic and why would I want to know this, but I’m basically writing this in hopes of helping you all out. Maybe this will save you a little trouble when you come across wanting to add something like this in your next project. If you’re a web designer you’d probably already know about this but if you didn’t know, you’re welcome.
